You may sign if you are a registered voter 18 years or older.

PLEASE NOTE: This petition is NOT a petition to legalize alcohol in Union County or New Albany. It is only a petition to allow the citizens of Union County and New Albany to vote on the issue. This petition is neither for alcohol nor against alcohol.

The next page has one petition with two parts.

• If you vote in the city limits of New Albany, please sign and submit both parts of the petition.

• If you vote outside the city limits of New Albany, including Myrtle and Blue Springs, please only sign and submit the top part of the petition.

• When deciding which parts to sign, decide based on where you would vote.

You may print and distribute as many copies of these petitions as you would like. Please do so.

I, the undersigned, being a registered voter in Union County, Mississippi, pursuant to section 67-1-11 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, petition the Board of Supervisors of Union County, Mississippi, to hold an election to determine whether to permit the sale, distribution and possession of alcoholic beverages of more than five percent (5%) of alcohol by weight.

I, the undersigned, being a registered voter in the City of New Albany, Union County, Mississippi, pursuant to section 67-3-9 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, petition the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of New Albany, Mississippi, to hold an election to determine whether the sale of beer and light wines of an alcoholic content of not more than five percent (5%) by weight should be allowed within the municipal city limits of the City of New Albany, Mississippi.
